Mixed Emotions

Since I last posted, my little Shia bunny passed away :(
She was such a sweet, sweet bunny and I miss her terribly.

I know loosing a pet is just part of the circle of life but that doesn't make the loss the least bit less painful.
I vowed I wasn't going to get another pet, I couldn't endure the heart break one more time.
My kids are grown....I have lots to keep me occupied.... I don't need a warm, cuddly, furry little one on my lap while knitting anymore.

My husband wasn't convinced of my decision, nor was my son's Girlfriend, Amanda (an avid animal lover and rescuer) The two of them "plotted" against me and introduced me to Tabitha.

Tabitha was rescued (she was a drop off) from Amanda's friends driveway. When I took her to the vet she had ear mites, fleas, worms and a slight fever. After some TLC, a bath, vaccinations and some medication, I'm happy to say Tabitha is now a very playful, healthy, happy 14 week old kitten. She loves knitting and stitching with me, cuddling and mending broken hearts.

Thank you dear hubby and Amanda

Best wishes and stitches everyone,
Tammy

So sorry to hear about your Shia. While losing a pet is part of the circle of life, realizing that doesn't make it any easier. It looks like Tabitha is a joyful addition to your family and I know Shia will always live in your heart.

Tabitha is just the medicine you needed (and she needed you too). Sorry about the loss of your bunny, she was very pretty.

Tam - Tabitha is beautiful and although it hurts when they leave us they bring us sooo much joy when they are here! Glad you found each other and she is making friends.

O Tammy - you are a lady after my own heart! ```I understand exactly how you feel. Up until two years ago I was TOTALLY Devasted when when I lost one of my "furbabies". Then when I lost my beloved horse , Princess of 32 years - I learned about the Rainbow Bridge and how our pets go there to wait for our return home. That helped me grieve. Last year it was our collie, Lassie and her companion Pee Wee and Mouse. Pee Wee was 19 years old- and had raised my youngest son and then my granddaughter. She was such a faithful baby-sitter.

Then last week out of the blue our little Sheltie- Dixie Doodles went into convulsions and we went to the vet -it was cancer and when they took her blood she went into another one that they could not bring her out of -so I stayed with her while she passed over. Tears, yes -plenty , even now . My heart just breaks - so I offer you - I am So sorry for your loss, as I have had bunnies too and they are so sweet and funny and soft. So now you have a new "lap-warmer" to watch over you -thank goodness because they know now about us than we do ourselves. O- have you ever read how a cats purr can even help heal illnesses? Maybe even mend broken hearts. :)

I just had to say thank you for letting me visit and I love your blog.
love from Linda -the sewing granny
